Early morning (well for us anyway) – Jeanne is on the phone with one of her SA friends (unbelievable as it may seem she actually does have some). I am busy finishing my two week long battle with BT Broadband and the new router.

It all started when our broadband connection died on us one evening. The modem that we’ve been using being 3 years old I thought that it is the problem. Just to make sure phone some stranger in India that inform me on the behalf of BT that yes indeed the fault is on our side and not a BR fault.

Off to PC World – one new wireless router later (what a brilliant excuse to install wireless at home) back at home and still no broadband!!! Back to my friends in India – o yes the fault is on the line – but no indication when it will be fixed. But it will be escalated (only after I asked very politely what they will be doing with a new router up their a..)

And then – Yes after a long hard very frustrating week it was switch back on – still waiting for a call to tell me the fault was rectified. But then the real struggle began – to get my laptop to connect to the security restricted, encoded, encrypted and full of sh.. wireless network. To cut a long story short – I am now sitting downstairs eating breakfast and posting this blog. (it is called multi tasking).

O yes – Jeanne’s birthday – will be eating at the Clive restaurant just outside Ludlow. She opened presents from the family in SA – I ate all the chocolates. Thanks also for everybody that gave her CD’s – I will of course make good use of it.

Now I am off for another cup of Tea.

Good question. Where are all the photos? Yes I am afraid – I deleted it all!! BUT I promise it will be back soon. That is as soon as I’ve decided which photo album software to use. (Ok so what if the smiley faces are a bit cheesy?)

Well I hope this works. Installed wordpress – spend hours looking for a good looking theme, still not sure I found the right one. Then tried to post using BlogJet – could not get connected to the site. Downloaded Post2Blog and is up and running within 5 minutes.

What did I do with the rest of my day? Had to go to Shrewsbury – need to sort out the coat that I bought – not certain about the colour. Turns out that it was the difference between artificial light in the shop and daylight – grey turns out to be charcoal.

Stopped in at the Blues Cafe – for my all time favourite sandwich – Brie, Bacon and Cranbury. Not as good as the one from my local sandwich shop, but not bad at all.

Had to go to Leominster (Focus) to buy costic soda – I am on my annual big clean exercise.

Then!!! A new Spencer!! Had to postpone all other plans and spend afternoon reading about Spencer and Hawk (Robert B Parker’s book for all you illiterates).

Not even enough time to visit my usual Friday evening takeway – had to do with left overs.

No I am off to bed. That is if this is successfully uploaded. Well hope for the best – I suppose if you read this it means that it worked.
